The Eyewall 5 features many state of the art designs that have become synonymous with today’s Pro-Fly style of goaltending.   The narrow gusset design on the outside allows the thigh to clear while transferring to the butterfly position.  This feature allows the pad to stay vertical to the flight of the puck therefore providing maximum blocking surface.   The enhanced medial rolls running along the inside of the pads provide a secure blocking line along the ice when positioned in the down posture.   The tri-pad knee protection allows the goalie to rotate into the horizontal position and position the face of the pad square to the shooter.  The multiple layers assist in the proper positioning of the knee providing protection and stability
